Chan-Young Kwon, KMD, MSc

Chan-Young Kwon is a public health doctor at Yanggu Public Health Center, Gangwon-do, Republic of Korea. He majored in Korean Medicine (KM) and obtained his MSc at Kyung Hee University in 2016. He is a KM doctor and specialist on oriental neuropsychiatry. He has been involved in several projects related to clinical practice guideline, including ‘A Study on the Method to Develop Korean Medicine Clinical Practice Guideline’ (2014), ‘Developing KM Clinical Practice Guideline on Depression’ (2015-2016), and ‘A Planning Study for Developing Korean Medicine Clinical Practice Guideline’ (2015-2016). He is currently involved in two projects of ‘Developing KM Clinical Practice Guideline on Hwa-byung’ (2018- ) and ‘Development of Auricular Acupuncture Protocol for Disaster Trauma – Pohang Earthquake Trauma’ (2019- ). Also, he is now in the midst of a health project to prevent dementia by using auriculotherapy among elderly living alone in the public health setting.
His primary research interests are focused on complementary and integrative medicine (CIM) approaches in neuropsychiatric disorders. With regard to research design, his interests are systematic review and meta-analysis, and he has published 15 papers in the journals of SCI or SCI(E) source publication. And he participated in developing a manual for public health doctors, ‘Primary Care Manual for Public Health Doctors of Korean Medicine’ (2019).
