Sai Wang Seto, PhD, SRPharmS

Dr. Sai Wang Seto has received his BSc(Hons) in Pharmacology from the University Liverpool, UK and PhD from the Chinese University of Hong Kong specialising in cardiovascular physiology and pharmacology. He received his postdoctoral training with Prof. James Docherty in the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. He joined the Queensland Research Centre of Peripheral Vascular Disease as a Postdoctoral Research Scientist in 2010 and was promoted to the post of Senior Scientist within the Centre in 2013. Currently, Dr. Seto is a Cardiac Health Institute Research Fellow in the NICM Health Research Institute and a Lecturer in Clinical Pharmacology for the School of Science and Health, Western Sydney University.

Dr. Seto’s research is supported by a number of grants and awards such as the Australian Government National Health and Medical Research Council and the National Heart Foundation of Australia. He has published over 50 publications in leading journals and has served as editorial board member and reviewer for a number of international peer-reviewed journals such as the Frontier in Pharmacology, Scientific Reports, British Journal of Pharmacology, Molecular Biology Reports and Journal of Experimental Pharmacology and Physiology etc. Dr. Seto’s research interests include Chinese herbal medicine, cerebro- and cardiovascular pharmacology, neurodegenerative diseases and metabolic disorders.
