Italian School of Chinese Medicine, Civitanova Marche, Italy

Degree with honors in Medicine and Surgery in Bologna '77, specialization in Anesthesiology and Reanimation '80, hospital doctor '77 -'86, studies acupuncture and MTC in Europe, USA and China, work in Civitanova Marche where he opens the first Italian public clinic of acupuncture in the NHS ('81 -'03). He directs the Italian Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine (1990 -'08), is a member of Journal of TCM (Beijing-China), of the Journal of Chinese Integrative Medicine (Shanghai), of the Journal of Alternative, Complementary & Integrative Medicine (USA). He is editor of the online journal Olos e Logos: Dialogues of Integrated Medicine www.oloselogos.it.

He teaches acupuncture and Chinese medicine since 1984. He holds acupuncture lectures and seminars in the University of Chieti '92 -'96, Milan '99 -'07, Siena from '94, Brescia, Pavia, Ferrara, Florence, Bologna, Perugia , Ancona and Camerino.

He directs the Foreign Department of the Italian School of Chinese Medicine and the Matteo Ricci Foundation ('90 -'08) and signs memorandums of understanding with the Chinese Universities of Beijing '90, Guangzhou '90 -'94-'97-'01- 2011 and Nanjing '97, and with the Middlesex University of London '02.

From 1984 to 1997 he was professor of the Italian School of Chinese Medicine in Bologna, from 1998 to 2008 he was professor of the Matteo Ricci Foundation of Bologna, from 2009 he is professor of the Italian Acupuncture School of AMAB in Bologna and director of the Department of Pharmacology and Chinese dietetics.

He is the author of 42 volumes and hundreds of Chinese medicine works published by UTET, Ambrosiana Publishing House, New Techniques, Red, Mediterranean Editions, translated into Spanish by Oceano-Ibis, in English by Churchill-Livingstone and in Romanian. He is the author and editor of the Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine in 6 volumes of the Ambrosiana Publishing House.
