Chengyuan Lin, PhD

Dr. Chengyuan Lin received his PhD degree from the University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong. In School of Biological Sciences of HKU, Dr. Lin gained experience with the techniques of molecular endocrinology and comparative physiology. After that, he joined the School of Chinese Medicine, Hong Kong Baptist University as a post-doctoral research fellow. He has been the research assistant professor and assistant research project manager in the Institute of Brain and Gut Research, School of Chinese Medicine, Hong Kong Baptist University since 2015.

Dr. Lin’s researches mainly focus on the pathogenesis and mechanism of drug action of stress-related diseases, including gastrointestinal disorder, depression, and cancer, etc. He is also engaged in analyzing the active compounds from Traditional Chinese Medicine for treating gastrointestinal diseases. He has published more than 40 SCI papers and served as reviewers of specialized journals in pharmacology, biology and oncology.
