Dr. Zhong is Mentor for Master Students, endowed Professor at Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Associate Director of Department of Nephrology, Longhua Hospital at Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

She is vice secretory at the Nephrology specialty subcommittee of World Traditional Chinese Medicine Pharmaceutical Association FederationMember, Nephrology subcommittee of Chinese Society of Traditional Chinese Medicine

Also, Dr. Zhong is a Member of Nephrology subcommittee of Shanghai Society of Integrated Traditional Chinese Medicine and Western Medicine, and Junior Member, Nephrology subcommittee of Shanghai Society of Medicine

Dr. Zhong performs both basic and clinical research to investigate new preventions and treatments for kidney disease using integrated Traditional Chinese Medicine and Western Medicine approach. She has been charged for several research projects funded by National Natural Science Foundation of China and Natural Science Foundation of Shanghai. As the major contributor, she has completed a project called “Eleven-Five” from Department of Science and Technology in China. She got several training plans for talent young physician scientists funded by Shanghai Government including “Qimingxin Young Investigator Award”, “Pujiang Talent Training Program”, “Excellence in Leadership Award”, “Training Program for Talent Young Scientist”, “Shuguang Training Program”.

She was also awarded for several leadership training programs by local Institution, such as “Training program for future leader and “Xinglin Program for Talent Physicians”. She has published a total of 30 papers and 15 of them are SCI-cited papers, with a total IF 98.505 and 361 citations. She participated in 4 book editions. She got a CASN young investigator award from USA in 2012. She got an Award of Science and Technology from Chinese Society of Integrated Traditional Chinese Medicine and Western Medicine as well as two awards for scientific development from Shanghai Government.
