The series on “Regulation of Chinese Medicine in the different countries of the world” is edited by Dr. Ramon Mª Calduch, Law School, Abat Oliba University, Calle Bellesguard Street, 30, 08022 Barcelona, Spain.

Ramon Mª Calduch is considered one of the most outstanding figures in the history of Chinese medicine in Europe. His interest in Chinese medicine, begins in 1988, after residing in Beijing for a year and personally seeing its surprising effectiveness. Ramón María Calduch began to consider the possibility of reaching an agreement with the Guang An Men Hospital and the Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, to bring traditional Chinese medicine doctors to Spain and establish the first European clinic exclusively dedicated to Chinese medicine. Ramón María Calduch, taking advantage of his experience as an economist, succeeded, after presenting a project that, in solidarity and selflessness, promoted traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) in the Spanish State and in Europe as a whole, both in terms of education and clinical practice (through the creation of the European MTC Foundation).
